Welcome to Online Intermediate Japanese I (JAPN 2001-UA,U)--Fall 2020.

This is a fully voice-enabled interactive virtual class and we will "meet" online through BlueJeans four times a week (TWRF) for 130 minutes each. There is no physical classroom to go to. All content materials including the textbook will be provided online in electronic form.

IMPORTANT: To participate in the BlueJeans session, click on the BlueJeans tool within Canvas.

Our first virtual class will be at 9:30 am - 11:40 am (EDT) on Tuesday, 5/12. You need to use a headset (or at least an earphone ) to listen and speak. Turn off the built-in speakers of your computer. Built-in speakers will cause audio interference. Devices which lack a regular microphone input jack or USB port may require a special audio input adapter to plug in your headset/microphone.

Communication for this course will be made via Announcements or Inbox tools of Canvas. Please enable the notification preferences of your Canvas account if you have turned it off (Canvas > Account > Notifications > Announcement).

If you have technical issues, contact OIT (Click on "Help" under Course Tools in Canvas course site). For any other question, please contact the instructor through Canvas inbox or other methods indicated elsewhere. I will "see" you in a virtual classroom soon.
