- If you can adjust the scan rate, 150 DPI (dots per inch) is recommended. If you can't use a scanner, cell phone camera snapshots are allowed. If the scanned image file sizes are too large (too high resolution), your PDF merging software may not work correctly. Typically, if you take a snapshot of the homework with a cell phone, you may end up with a resolution too high for PDF conversion. A resolution between 850 to 900 across and 1100 to 1200 down works the best. If you have a tablet PC, you are allowed to use a stylus pen to write your answers directly into the file. Read How to combine scanned image files for more information.

- Your PowerPoint file containing Images and additional vocabulary. (Must NOT contain the final draft itself.)
- Make sure you plan ahead and have plenty of time to upload your homework before the deadline.) You can resubmit the homework multiple times if necessary before the deadline. If there are multiple submissions, only the last one will be graded. If you upload homework after the deadline, it will be marked late and it may not receive any credit. No email submission is allowed without prior consent from the instructor.
- It is your responsibility to make sure uploaded files are correct, legible and in the correct homework collector. If you upload wrong files or upload them into a wrong location or if your scanned images are not legible, you may not receive any credit for your homework.
Make sure to download (Use "Save the link as" option) and reopen your uploaded homework files and confirm they appear correctly. If you do this, you can easily detect if something went wrong during your upload. (Technical difficulties such as "My file was uploaded in time but it was damaged during upload" or "Canvas was down when I tried to upload my homework") cannot be accepted as an excuse unless there is a schoolwide outage of service.)
- After your homework is graded, it will be returned to the same location above with the name like "xxxxx-graded.pdf" or "xxxx-reviewed.pdf", etc.
